Baby is the size of a brussels sprout. Baby is very active, but you won’t be able to feel its movement yet.
Baby is about 2 to 2 1/2 inches from crown to rump and the average fetus weighs just about 0.33 ounce. Half of baby’s length is its head.
Baby’s facial features are maturing. Ears are moving toward their final position on the sides of the head. Eyes are set wide apart, and the eyelids are fused shut. Tiny teeth buds are developing.
Baby’s external genitalia are forming, but it will be awhile before you can tell if it is a boy or girl.
The placenta is growing as the baby’s rapid growth needs more nutrients. Baby’s red cell count will increase quickly as well.
